Did you delete the localthumbcache file after removing your cc ?

It works fine on the home lot. I completely uninstalled everything and removed the entire Sims 4 folder that was left behind in the documents folder. I first tried it out on a completely fresh install, but it didn't make a difference, so I then put my saved games back. The only thing I've restored since the install is my "saves" folder. I did test several different fridges on the retail lot, but none seem to add any time to the new items.
*edit* I tried something else. I copied the home lot and retail lot and started a new game with a random sim. I cheated in the money, and after milking the cows and collecting eggs I tried it again. It worked this way. The time left went up to over 17 days. I'm worried that something is getting corrupted over time because it took awhile before I was able to afford the retail lot before. The only other difference was that my family was witches, and the new sim was "normal". I didn't want to start over, and since no CC or mods were involved, I'm worried this would happen again eventually. I was also getting a lot of other glitches that I could ignore more easily.

Here's another update. I played my fresh game again, and the bug happens the next time you visit the retail lot. I had left some milk in the fridge there that had just been harvested last time I was there so I think it had 17 days left while refrigerated. When I came back to the lot, the milk had 16 hours left in the fridge, and that number was the same again when I placed the milk in my inventory. Moving it back and forth from fridge to inventory has no effect on how long before it spoils.

I couldn't duplicate with bought milk even when coming back to the retail store little later.- 4 years ago
I didn't try it with bought milk, only milk fresh from the cows on my home lot. Also, I have the lot trait Simple Living on retail lot, and the retail lot is in Henford-on-Bagley converted from a residential lot. I don't know if these variables make a difference because I haven't tried different lots. I also had Simple Living on my home lot and didn't have the same issue with spoiling. I appreciate you testing it. I might try out a different retail lot in another world later. Thanks!
