The game will use your specs to recommend an option to you. I wouldn't worry too much about going beyond the recommendation; any slowness that results might be well within your tolerance. Just know that it's one of the things you can control.
I have a Acer nitro, GTX 1050 with 8 GB and 1 TB HDD. Was recommended it for sims 3. Are these specs a bit low for sims 4.
