High School lot causes lag when during an active school day

Hi I'm having a major issue with highschool years and it's getting to me.

Whenever I follow my sim to highschool for an active day, my game lags, so bad it's unplayable, I have a lot of mods and cc, I have tried the 50/50 method (I'm at like 3 weeks of trying to fix my game) The issue seems to be with the active day itself as just showing up to the lot before school starts, there is no lag, day starts, game lags so badly, I cancel the day and my game goes back to the way it normally is.

I can't find any info on reddit, I know it is a mod issue at this point, but I feel crazy and I don't know if it is or not, like I can never find the mod. It's really starting to annoy me and I just wanna play sims. It happens on new saves, cause I keep making new ones to test and I don't understand how to fix it anymore, I don't know if posting is going to help because if it is a mod issue I know I'm the only one who can fix it, I have been playing sims for over 8 years, my mods folder is 389GB.. It's somewhat organized and I think I've got it down to my build cc folder but like I said I feel crazy and it get's to a point where I reload my game without my build cc and it feels laggy (my game takes 30 minutes to reload) and I'm just getting so frustrated with it, I feel as though I only have a few options, which is either take the "bad" cc out, and hope it works and play, I thought it was my poses folder but I like taking family photos with my families so I like my poses, or I just completely avoid the active highschool, which sucks because I want my teens to experience highschool!

Any help would be greatly appreciated and would restore my sanity, thank you.

I recommend starting with Previously Broken mods and CC and the current pinned Broken and Updated Mods and CC lists to make sure known issues are accounted for. Check all education mods you have to ensure that they're declared compatible with the current game version... and try just removing them.

I also recommend looking for duplicates in your folders. One way to do that is to install Better Exceptions, or to delete it and the folder it creates and reinstall it. Delete the localthumbcache file too, every time you remove or update a mod.

Finally, it can be a really good thing to delete mods and CC you aren't using. It's highly unlikely you're making use of even half that folder. Write down somewhere the ones you think you might want to find again someday, when you're ready to actually use them.
