CurseForge Questions

Wondering if anyone has also encountered / may know the answer to the following:

1. Why does the app keep asking me to create a Twitch account? Is Twitch required to use CurseForge?

2. I still don't see a Sims option in the app. Is it because I'm on Mac? When is Sims CurseForge support releasing for Mac, if it hasn't yet?

3. If I click "Install" on their website, it freezes my computer. Is that because of #2 - the app isn't actually supported on Mac yet, even though it keeps asking me to download it? Or because I don't have a Twitch account? Or something else?

4. Any idea if/when they'll be able to have multiple files in one listing for different versions based on what you want and/or what packs you have? That seems a pretty common thing for Sims mods.

5. Is there any indication what packs a mod requires?

    1. CurseForge used to belong to Twitch (it's now overwolf) but it seems you still only can log in with twitch on the webseite at this point. To download you don't need an account though, only if you want to track things. Same for the app. You can use it without being logged in

    2. Yes, CurseForge for Mac isn't available yet

    3. The install interaction won't work on mac since the app doesn't. It opens the app. Best to uninstall the app for now, then you shouldn't even see the option. You can download though and install the traditional way. For mac it's nothing more than a centralized place do download stuff atm

    5. You can put that on their ideas page if it's not already suggested by someone: https://curseforge-ideas.overwolf.com .. if it is, you could upvote that
    6. The description is one indication. Hopefully the creator put that. Under Game Version you can also filter by pack/Base game version so you can see what mods there are for certain packs
