Hello this is my first post here so I apologize for any mistakes. My issue is that just recently (last 3 days or so) my custom content accessories will not show up when they are clicked on. This seems to just be an issue with bracelets, rings, and gloves because my cc leggings and socks work still. I've tried just putting in the game the specific accessories I want to use but they still won't show up. My game version is 1.81.72.1030.
@AxolotlAvery Hello! Do you have Mods and CC enabled in the game options?
Note: If you don't have any script mods, then you don't need to check that box.
@AxolotlAvery Okay. Are these accessories new or ones that you've had for a while? Have you been playing since the early November update? You may want to check with the creators and/or the sites where you got them to make sure you have the most updated versions. I wonder if those accessories might be broken and no longer compatible with the game. If they are up to date, then it may help to remove them and do a game repair. After doing the game repair, try deleting the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder. Then put one of the CC items back in the game and test it. You could also try testing each CC item to see if any of them show up. If you have a lot of CC, maybe divide them in half and alternate testing each half and continue dividing them to see if any will work.
Edit: I was just thinking maybe you could give the description of an item that isn't showing up so I can get it and test it as well. Please don't post a link, just the name / description of one or a few of the CC you have so I can search for it.
@JonaO703I've made a new revelation on this. I opened up my game again and decided to try and see if it worked...it did but only on non-existing sims. Like if I start a new game or randomize a sim the accessories work but not on my existing sims. I'm gonna try to do a game repair because I'm trying to take cute pictures with poses. Will update if it works or if I make any new revelations. Thank you for your help so far!
@AxolotlAvery If you are seeing problems with TS4 content, it makes me think there is something you've added with your CC that isn't working properly. Maybe double check to see if there was a mesh needed for any of the items and if so, make sure the mesh file is saved in the same folder where the CC is saved. Are any of the items maxis replacements? If there is a mesh file missing, this might be why the items aren't showing up in game and could also be blocking regular TS4 items.
Don't know if this thread is still active, but I am having this same issue. All rings, CC or Base Game/Expansion just don't show up at all
