Daylight in the Night-time

Reposting in correct forum. It seems in my game anytime of the night it still seems bright outdoors. Almost like daylight...and seeing shadows from the trees even makes it feel more like midday instead of midnight. I think the outdoors need to appear darker and there shouldn't be shadows from the trees on the ground.

Is there anything I can change in the Nvidia control panel so that my graphics card can work at it's best within the game? Any settings I can change in the game so that it's darker outdoors in the night?

  • There is a setting for Lighting in the game options, but I doubt it's going to affect the game in any way that you are looking for. Night IS fairly bright, and you will see shadows because of moonlight. This is perfectly normal, it is how the game was designed.

It looks like there are some XML files that can modded to alter the lighting - but I'm not sure to what extent, or if it's possible to get the specific effect you are looking for.
