@leah1omg If you deleted your user folder, then yes, your game will act like it's new - it will no longer have your old local-stored saves, mods, or library (tray) files. This is by design. You can move your old files into the newly created game folders if you can recover them.
This isn't an issue caused by mods, so I'm going to get some more info from you to get you to the right forum with more information:
- Are you on a Mac or on Windows?
- When you say you deleted your data, what files or folders did you delete?
- When you say your game was crashing, was this before or after you deleted files and reinstalled the game? (It's not clear from your post.)
