Deleted cache, now cc is gone

I recently had to delete the "localthumbcache" for the Sims 4 on my computer, the site I went to for help also told me to delete everything in the "cache" and "cachestr" folder but not the folder themselves. I went into the game and found that all my cc had been deleted even though it said it was safe to delete the cache without cc being deleted. Is there a way to fix this and get my cc back?
