Different households but different saves

Hi there, basically what the title says.

so I have different households, but each time I open the saves, one family is missing in another world, the houses I downloaded from the gallery is missing, etc. I play online most of the time, occasionally I go offline.

I play on the PS4 if that any helps. If anyone would have any advice, that would be awesome. This has happened alot and I'm so confused as to why it happens. I could be doing something wrong, not sure.

Thanks!

  • @XxtaihanaxX You say you have different saves that you load ? To be sure, you're opening the correct save that is supposed to have these households ?

    Each save is different.
  • @crinrict Yes I'm sure, but what's weird is that each save comes up with missing households. Isn't every save suppose to come up correctly instead of vanishing households, etc?

I'll try explain a bit further to give you an idea.

When I first played Sims, there were no problems with either household, I could save, and switch to other worlds where the households I made were there. I had no trouble with this until one day when I played sims, most households went missing. I was confused at first, I went back to main menu and opened the saves.

I opened a save, and noticed that when I loaded in, the world was quite different, as in, the houses I downloaded was no longer there, the other households were missing and the premade sims went back to their old lot as if they were there for the first time.

Going back to when I was loading in the world, a message popped up saying game data incomplete. I wasn't sure what to do but it messed up a lot of the game and that's when the households went missing, houses were gone, etc.

I'm still unsure what to do. I tried unstalling the game and the packs. I redownloaded everything and it didn't work.
  • @crinrict By the way, when I was rereading your reply, you said that each save is different. Can you explain this to me please? I'm confused

Yeah, each save is starting fresh with the default houses and families you get with the game, and changes you make only affect each individual save. You can set up Newcrest completely differently in each save, for example. If you have Island Living or Strangerville, those are set to their default states with a new save.

If you want all those families to interact with each other, they need to be in the same save.

@XxtaihanaxX Let's do an example to make sure we're on the same page here.

Say you have two save games, let's call them Save A and Save B.

In Save game A you have three families called X, Y and Z
In save game B you have two families called P and Q.

If you load into save game A you should of course still have families X, Y and Z but not P and Q as those are from Save game B.

Same if you load into save game B you don't have X, Y and Z but you do have P and Q.

So if you don't have X, Y; Z in save game A, something is potentially wrong. There's neighborhood stories now so if you have those enabled and play rotationally, the households could have moved out or died but you should still have the houses they lived in.

There's a few issues with missing houses and resets.

Oh what the heck, I didn't know that! I honestly thought that like the saves would be all in one save, not differently

  • @crinrict Ohh, yeah I somehow realized that. Like what you said is correct and I have been confused for a long time thinking it's some weird glitch. I'm used to playing one save, not two. Thinking back to what you said last night, I somehow caught on and figured it out. This makes sense. Thank you!

@XxtaihanaxX You can always play different households in the same save if you want to switch between multiple households.
  • @crinrict Yeah, that's what I figured out yesterday so I decided to move some of my households into one save. It worked out just fine and I'm quite happy with what I have done. Thank youuuu so much!
