Neutral/Not Sure this happened to me while holding the fishing book ... i was reading it then held it while i went to bathroom to use the john it disappeared after sitting on the john never came back

as a further note i did try cleaning up books to see if there was an invisible one - nopeand when i bought a new skill book to replace the one that disappeared - the store will indicate how many you have - it said i had none of that skill book..-i had bought lv1&2 of all skill books earlier - they were all there except that oneExpensive toilet paper...lol

After a few saving, reloading and playing a number of times the books showed up stuck hovering in a wall beside the toilet - one invisible and the other at a 45 degree angle ie on spine with the mouth up at 45 degreeshousehold member could not get books - had to use build mode to move book and place on table

Yes i duplicated it again about 1 hr later with a different book and simand the sim read the book while on the toilet and then the book dissapearred after the sim finished using the toilet

It's best if you make a new thread if it happens a lot.

as for 100% certainty - i haven't tested or risked losing more books - it happened both times a sim went to the bathroom with book - i never bought a bunch of skill books and went to town to see if it would happen every time i went to bathroom with one
im just avoiding carrying one into bathroom if you have a bunch of sims to monitor in your household ...a sim you are not paying attention to may carry a book into bathroom
right now im trying to keep them from doing so to save on book purchases

@XavZepherio So I tested this in my game and it seems to work fine.

You did check the floor, shelves, bookshelves or any storage cases you might have ? Mine just put hers on the floor after using it (it was always there though)

yes i did - i looked everywhere
it may be due to space constraints - there is no room to either side of toilet to put book nor in front because of doorway
i never bothered to deconstruct house to see if it under foundation either

Are you sure the book is gone? I thought that happened in my game a few times and it turned out the Sim left the book on the floor in a hard to find spot. Sometimes it shows up in the Sim's inventory or the household inventory a few minutes later.
