[DO] Restaurant Custom Menu showcases multiple duplicate food items

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.89.214.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have every single pack that's currently out
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Place down a diner Edit custom diner menu
What happens when the bug occurs? Multiple food items duplicated appear specifically hamburgers, yogurt, and oatmeal plus some random food items appearing as hamburgers like taco casseroles are hamburgers now
What do you expect to see? Each food item appearing normally
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It most likely occurred during recent official patches

Hi, I heard this was an old Dine Out bug that got patched but for some reason this has resurfaced I did double checked if it was any mods I have and after removing temporarily all cooking/food mods I have and cleaning cache

This is what the diner menu editing looks like even without cooking/food mods loaded in it's these food items specifically bugging out

    @RoboSpongie I can duplicate the lactose Free Milk bread and the milk bread. They were added after the fix so I guess the bug was reintroduced for them.
    Yogurt is fine for me and I can't duplicate the issue with random food becoming another.

    If you rename your user folder and start a new save with no mods for testing purposes, do you have that issue still ?

    Also does your Sim own the restaurant or is it for any ?

    @RoboSpongie I can duplicate the lactose Free Milk bread and the milk bread. They were added after the fix so I guess the bug was reintroduced for them.
    Yogurt is fine for me and I can't duplicate the issue with random food becoming another.

    If you rename your user folder and start a new save with no mods for testing purposes, do you have that issue still ?

    Also does your Sim own the restaurant or is it for any ?

    @crinrict My sim doesn't own a restaurant, I get this while managing the menu in manage worlds hub

    Also by rename you mean make a fresh mods folder?

    This basically as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    @crinrict That solution fixed it (I'm going to assume it was probably because not enough cache cleaned up) Thank you so much for your help!

    Hopefully the milk bread dine out menu issue gets patched! 🙂

    @RoboSpongie Could you edit the fist post to make it about the milk bread only (or make a new report for that).

    That part is still a bug.
