EA Launcher Update: 3/24/23 Broke Game: No CC Showing

So, the newest EA Launcher Update of 3/24/23 broke my Mom's Sims 4 game and now she cannot see any cc in her game.

I have read that the EA Launcher can be buggy and glitchy, so need any and all advice, ideas and solutions here.

What I've done so far:

1. All Mods are updated to newest version in the mods folder

2. Repaired Game Files via EA Launcher
3. Removed EA Launcher Update 3/24/23 via Program Data files
4. Using EA Launcher from 2/15/23
5. Removed ALL her Save files
6. Removed ALL cc files then,
7. Started NEW GAME w/just ONE ⚽ cc file known to be "Good" custom content

This EA Launcher Update did NOT affect my game in any way, I have the Master Account on the EA Launcher format.

8. Replaced ALL of her Folders with NEW Folders: Mods, Downloads, Types of CC Folder: Clothes, Objects, Build, etc

9. Created a NEW Resource Config. file for her Mods Folder & Made sure it is correct according to Resource Config guidelines
10. Replaced ALL her CC files w/my CC files (We have always shared cc files between our games)

My Mods folder didn't even have a Resource Config file and I can still see all cc in game. I placed a NEW Resource File in my game

and the cc is still showing as it should be.(FYI)

The only thing left that I can think to do is Copy ALL my game files: E01/SP01/GP01 over to her computer so that all the Sims 4 Game Files

are not broken in any way.

    @Longmire58  Please delete the resource.cfg you've created and allow the game to make its own, just to be on the safe side.

    If your mother's computer has a third-party antivirus installed, please set exceptions for TS4_x64.exe and EADesktop.exe.  If the computer only uses Windows Defender, find out whether Controlled Folder Access is active, and if so, set the same exceptions.  (Don't enable it if it's not already running.)  Here's a guide for CFA and a couple of third-party programs:

    Copying the game's program files from your computer to your mother's will likely accomplish nothing at all.

    Thank you so much for your response, Puzzlez:

    I actually meant that her game created the new Resource Config file when I started a NEW FRESH game w/an empty Saves folder.

    Sorry for my misleading information and communication.

    I will now try some of crinrict's advice... He/she has been such an excellent source of knowledge and help to the Sims community.

    I will update when I have done all the things you've mentioned here. 🙂

    Updated:

    Okay, a fellow Simmer helped me by doing this:

    In the Mods folder just have the

    1. Resource Config file
    2. UnpackedMod file
    3. One ⚽ Verified Working Custom Content File

    All other mods and Downloads folder are removed for now.

    Start a NEW Game and see if the 1 cc file shows up in the game.

    YES, it did!

    Then I put all the mods back in plus the Downloads files and everything was working

    perfectly as it did before the EA Launcher app update.

    No need to add the Sims 4 exe/EA Desktop exe to the Exceptions lists of my Mom's antivirus programs:

    Norton & Malwarebytes. 🙂
