- Pahndamonium326 years agoSeasoned RookieThe easiest way is to make a Sim with your bad CC, save it to your library and then use the Sims 4 Tray importer to identify and delete the files:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQX4W9oW3GI - re PP: that is super smart! But I'm a mac user and nothing works. I feel your frustration! That's something I'm struggling with. What's been helping is just being careful about classifying CC. My mods folders has detailed folders for eyes, short skirts, 3/4 sleeves etc. (I choose categories according to details that stick out to me personally) so if I download bad CC recently it's usually not too hard to go back and identify the culprit if I sort by date added.
I considered using temporary folders for every new batch of CC. Like if you download 20 items tonight, stick everything in a dated folder. Maybe even add screenshots so you remember what to look for. Then load the game and check everything in-game. Delete stuff that doesn't work or looks weird in-game. .....but all that takes discipline that I don't have lol
Sorry if this isn't super helpful; as I said, I'm also struggling with managing CC! - Pahndamonium326 years agoSeasoned Rookie

There is a Mac version: https://luniversims.com/files/file/389-sims-4-tray-importer-for-mac/ you may need to translate the page. There is a link for English/Englais instructions near the bottom of the page. - GusWizard6 years agoSeasoned Newcomeryea just make a sim with all the buged CC you want to remove, import to you library in-game, open it on TrayImporter, ID the mods, delete them, its pretty easy
- GusWizard6 years agoSeasoned Newcomerbtw mods and Mac/IOs dont match :D
- I'm a mac user too!

I'm a PC user and I've seen the video tuts for removing bad CC, but in each of them the bad CC is easily identifiable because the image for the CC shows up as that scary demon thing... in my game, I'll have a sim that looks scary demony but I can't find the CC item to save it! Any tips?
I'm not sure what your question is. To use Tray importer just make an ugly demony sim in CAS, save it to your library, close the game, and open the Tray Importer, it will show you the CC used.
tip: Don't put the Tray Importer inside your Mods folder. - Pahndamonium326 years agoSeasoned Rookie

It says you need to have .NET to download it. But when I clicked on what was supposed to be for Windows 10, it didn't list it in the requirements (which is worrisome.) (The last .NET I installed was 1.1! Now it seems to be up to 4.)
So, does the one for the earlier versions of Windows work for Windows 10?
So far I haven't had any problem with CC but I want to be prepared! - Pahndamonium326 years agoSeasoned Rookie

I would suggest asking your question on their forum: https://luniversims.com/forums/forum/61-aide/ as the creator, Deevo, would know more about that.
