This was happen to me after the last update. In Game options down at the bottom click on directx 9. I also had a problem with saving my game. I have a ton of cc in my game and the update caused my game to take forever to load. As soon as I went back to directx 9 my game loaded so fast it amazed me. When I say I have a ton of cc that is a under statement. I have 2 tb of cc on my computer. I hope this helps you .
Mspoison_Ivyttv You can run a DX11 batch fix in Sims 4 Studio, but I'd also recommend spending some time going through your CC. I've never seen a folder that big that doesn't have duplicates, for example.
