Endless Loading Screen When Trying to Play Previous Saves

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? unsure (Up to date in Origin)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions except Get-Together. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When trying to play with a previous save or household.
What happens when the bug occurs? I click on the household to play with them and it gets stuck on the loading screen indefinitely.
What do you expect to see? I try to play with my previous save files and households and anytime I do, I get stuck on the spinning plumbob loading screen indefinitely. I eventually had to force quit the app. This just started after For Rent was released which I preordered. I'm able to create a new household/save file and can play with that no problem but cannot play any of my previous games before the pack came out.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

I am unable to play with any save files/games/households I created before the release of the FOR RENT pack. Anytime I try to, it takes me to the world in which the household lives in. I click the household to play with them and I get stuck on the spinning plumbob loading screen indefinitely. I eventually have to just force quit the game because nothing ever happens. I was able to create a new household/save file/game and can use the pack with few minor bugs and am able to go back into to play that one anytime I get off and back on; however, I'm never able to play my saves made before the release of the pack. Which really stinks because I have a generations save file I've been wanting this pack to come out for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am very unhappy about this.

Same here. Ever since downloading the for rent pack, I'm unable to play with my previous saves or houses. I deleted all mods, repaired the game multiple times, restarted my computer several times, and cleared the cache. It still won't let me play them. It just stays on the loading, spinning plumbob forever so I eventually have to force quit it. I was able to create a brand new household/save file and that is working okay for the most part but I was really hoping to use this pack for my generations play.

Also wanted to note that I have tried restarting computer multiple times, repairing the game in origin multiple times, deleting all mods, and clearing the cache and it still won't work.

@SimsbySarah95 How big is your save game and how big is the lot you're trying to load ?

Have you tried a folder rename ?

EDIT: Also unmerged the post you posted in the console thread since you're not on console :D

I'm unsure how to see how big the save is but it's multiple generations. On one of the larger lots in willow creek. And thanks, I'm new haha.

In Finder go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves folder and have a look at the size of your save file. It will be in MB.

It just shows the dash lines. It doesn't tell me the size.

I just got this error. It will let me go into the save file and play with a different household but not the household I want to play with.

Hi @SimsbySarah95 For the file size for @Bluebellflora , open that folder up to see the files inside it. You can sort them by their date, and post the size of the most recently saved one. Or just screenshot the whole folder.

@SimsbySarah95 Do you have any LastException files in your documents folder ?

Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

I only had the .txt last exceptions. I deleted all of them and still, my saves won't work. I even deleted a bunch of my saves that I didn't play for a long time to see if that would help and nope. Still won't let me load my one save that I want to play with. I can't even get the error code to pop up anymore that I posted above. Please help!!
