Extremely slow/glitchy

i’ve been dealing with this issue in the sims on and off for weeks now and i’m so frustrated. for the longest time, my game loaded almost instantly and had completely normal waiting times, even with a lot of mods. however, within the last few weeks it’s just completely flipped. it’s taken me hours to load the game in a lot of the time. i’ve checked all the mods i have. i’ve updated all of them. i’ve tried slowly integrating my folders one at a time. sometimes when i do this, it loads instantly, and sometimes it’s extremely slow. i’ve gone through this process probably ten times now and each time it has taken me hours with no fix. after every batch i delete the local thumb cache and i regularly repair the game through the ea app. when i actually have the patience to wait for the game to launch, it’s lagging in game as well. i just don’t understand why this is happening now when it never happened before. my amount of mods hasn’t drastically changed, i haven’t bought any huge dlc, i’m lost. the game is basically unplayable. any help is so greatly appreciated.
