I've had this same problem. My items would not appear in household or sim inventory. When i got fed up trying, i decided to access the items through the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat. When i entered the cheat, all my items i made were in the household inventory! So, if you didn't manage to find your fabricated items in the household or sim inventory, press ctrl + shift + c and then type bb.showhiddenobjects.
I tried everything you said and even restarted my game but it hasn't fixed it ☹️ are there any new solutions you've found since then?
I put my sims fabrication skill level to 3. I then could find them in my household inventory 🙂
