Honestly I think the main reason this is so annoying is that they will insist on walking in on each other. I'd be okay with them removing the embarrassed sentiment between family members, but assuming we keep it... can we at least have school age children (not to mention college roommates) comprehend that when they watched Mom walk into the bathroom and close the door, they can't immediately follow her in and then be shocked that she's on the toilet or in the shower? I mean you learn pretty young, I think, what a closed bathroom door means. Everyone's needs would be solved faster if Sims were capable of waiting instead of walking in on each other and then having a shooing match until one of them pees themself and leaves to hide under the covers.
Or a special bathroom door that auto locks/unlocks letting only spouses or whoever can safely enter in, and anyone out, then unlocks when empty. Cause no one wants to put the walls up, adjust camera till no other walls aren't in the way to find door, lock door, forget about locked door when checking other sims, deal with bad moodlets or death(if you forgot that long), readjust walls, camera, unlock door. However I still think the shameless trait should solve all this. It seems pointless otherwise. Even my household of all elderly women ghosts get embarrassed floating in on each other in the bathroom.
