Festivals/Travel Problems

@rosie4evr , there should be a prompt to include more people when your Sims wants to travel.  As long as they know other Sims, this option to pick from all known Sims available should show before you travel to the location. This would have the pictures of known Sims to choose from. 

You mentioned that you don't use Mods.  Are you playing on a PC or Mac, or are you playing on a console?  

Has this just been happening since you downloaded the new packs, or maybe since a game update?

@rosie4evr , I found out both of these issues have Bug Reports on them.  Please click on the links and then on the first post of each issue click the Me Too button at the bottom of the first post.😇  Then you can add your reply if you want to explain your experiences with these bugs (each issue on its own Report thread) .

[OPEN] [SE] Travelling to Festival causes World to reload - Answer HQ (ea.com) (This one needs saves, so if you are willing, you can send your save so they can try to see what caused the problem.  This will help them fix it faster! 😇 )

In the mean time, you can try to exit the game and then delete your localthumbcache.package file , and then start your game again .  This might help temporarily since this file can retain bits of corrupted data that can mess with your game.
This file is in your game folder (Documents > Electronic Arts  > The Sims 4)

@rosie4evr , the location of the localthumbchache.package file should be in the same place for both PC and Mac.  if you can't find it, make sure you aren't looking in the iCloud version of Documents! 😉

With the traveling issue, if it's not letting you travel with more than 1 person, what you could do is make a temporary club with the people you want to travel with and then start a club meeting at the location. Furthermore, in regards to the snowy escape festivals, when you get the notifications for the festivals, if you are clicking the notification to try and travel there and it's not working, you could always try and use the usual travel option and go to the lot where the festival takes place:

~ The Festival of Light takes place in the Senbamachi Neighborhood, next to Hanamigawa Koen Park

~ The Festival of Snow takes place in the Yukimatsu Neighborhood, next to the ski lift

~ The Festival of Youth takes place in the Wakaba Neighborhood, in the square opposite the Hazakura Lounge

Whilst these don't fix the issues you're having, it at least allows you some of the playability back whilst the options are unavailable; hope this helps in some way.
