Game crashes for no apparent reason

Hi everyone. Since yesterday my game has been crashing for no reason without error messages, it just closes. I have been playing on this exact computer for about a year now, always with CC and MCCC....

    You've got some files there that belong in Tray, not Mods, @OliMX17 . Some mods -- some SimRealist ones, for example -- include custom builds, and those would go in Tray.

    Resource.cfg is made by the game itself. You can just leave the new one it creates alone. If you delete it, though, the game will just make a new one.

Hi @OliMX17. I'd suggest going back a step and adding those mods one by one, taking time to check installation instructions and then making sure that added mod is behaving (and not conflicting with something you already have) before adding the next one.

Some of those have fiddly installations, so emphasis on checking that! For example, 100 Traits has an add-on you need if you have Mood Pack. For some, there's additional info that's not on the download page, so click through to that info.

Make sure when you install each one that you've removed files for packs you don't have, and delete localthumbcache each time you change what's in your Mods folder. Hopefully, this will help figure out what's going on.

Thank you. First I removed all new mods but the game still crashed. Now i removed all CC and mods and it seems to run alright even though its hard to tell how long i can play before the game crashes. But i also noticed i have a few files in my mods folder that i have never seen anyone else have in the mods folder (like in video tutorials on how to install mods for example). might these maybe be causing an issue as well? I'll include a screenshot of the files. I always only saw the cfg file in other people's folders, i dont know how the others got there, in case theyre not supposed to be there in the first place.

I guess all i can do now is add the CC and mods back in one by one ://
