Game crashes on Mac after update 1.69

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It occurs when I'm trying to start a game, both new and load a saved game, and I don't get farther than the world map, that's when the message pops up. And even if I try to continue the message comes back and I'm thrown back the the world map.
What happens when the bug occurs? I get a message box that says that something went wrong and that I should restart the game
What do you expect to see? I should be able to play the game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I updated the game to version 1.69
The game seems to work without CC/Mods, but there was no issues before the update.
