Game keeps crashing when in build mode?

My game was fine until I started randomly crashing, the first instance was when I was putting down a bench and it just suddenly froze and then my game closed. After that I managed to get some building done fine and then once I got to my sofa that's when I keep crashing now, I can open the sofa's perfectly fine but once I begin to scroll, I cant get passed a certain point without my game closing. I'm not sure if this is a universal issue or not but I'm quite stumped on what can be causing it even after doing a game repair
