So I go to click on a household to play but after the loading screen it will jump back to the map. I’ve updated the game and I do also have mods can someone help?

Yes I know. I only use a few mods and a couple of littlemissam mods so I don't have a lot to go through when one of them breaks my game. Unfortunately some of these people have 3000 plus mods so no surprise there that every update causes their game to break.
billblogs Literally dozens and dozens of mods broke this way in August '25. You'll need to use the pinned resources.
The August 2025 patch (1.117) broke many, many script mods, with this being the symptom, and these are still the ones most likely to be your problem. Use the Previously Broken mods and CC for many (not all!) mods that have no updates. Use “Updated” in the Broken/Updated Mods list for patch 1.117 as a second starting point, but note many were updated for patch 1.118 and/or are not yet cleared in the current list (for links, see Mod & CC Issues: START HERE).

LucyLocket_x95 Rename your mods folder, Make a new mods folder delete localthumbcache then gradually move your mods a few at a time into the new mods folder running the game every time until you replicate the error. You should then be able to tell which mod or mods are doing it. Try with no mods to start with just renaming the mods folder will do this.
