Your sims are not pitch black? I updated yesterday and thats the only problem i have.
The game is fast af because they removed half of my cc Primeroprince88 Does it happen still if if you rename the Mods folder and delete the file called localthumbcache? And have you used the Broken and Updated Mods and CC list?
chazbadtealeaf38 Is it an all black screen or one with words? These are different issues, and I'll need to know to get you the right support.

My game launches and now just loads into a Black screen right before the Home page Menu — it stays black with the music playing but I never can see the main menu

I didn't experience the crashes but it's possible I didn't leave it on that screen long enough. I removed ALL my mods, deleted my mods folder so it would re-generate, and cleared my localthumbcache file. Then my game saves would load fine. Started putting files back in and ended up locating a script mod that I had updated already but it had been updated *again*.
I thought so as well as it was happening before the hotfix yesterday. However, I have seen several people say that it only began for them after the patch. And even more people saying that even with their mod's folder removed and having updated, they are still having the issue :/

i dont think this was caused by the latest patch. i just updated my game yesterday and its working completely fine, and i have lots of script mods and cc
Yes! I am hearing LOTS of reports on this in my comments section! I suggested making a copy of your mods folder, moving the mods folder to the desktop, or disabling it, then clearing the cache and repairing. Then launching the game once to make a new mods folder, checking things work in vanilla, and then moving your old mods contents in to the new :) There seems to be some success with this method.
PLEASE: Make a copy for you Save, Tray, and Mod Folder somewhere safe before doing things, just in case!
I think maybe it has to do with like some history of the mods and how it was interacting before the latest hotfix that is causing the communication error. I don't have a better explanation, and it's likely wrong, but I hope it is fixed soon :)
