Game not working endlessly loading and then not responding

Hi! So I play Sims 4 on my Mac but ever since the update I've been having issues with my game. First my sim started using the computer and then suddenly would freeze and the game would be stuck like that forever forcing me to quit the game. I would clear all caches, repair the game and try again and same thing happened time and time again. I do play with mods but I've been checking them daily for updates and keep them updated. So today I tried to play again, but this time the new "Emo pack" announcement screen popped at the starting screen and when I tried clicking it away my game would once again endlessly load forcing to force quit the game. Then an LE appeared in my Sims 4 folder with the following message: 

"Outdated Tunable Resource Error: Outdated Tunable Resource requires removing. Tunable Game Resource contains incorrect/outdated information. You need to locate the PACKAGE file, in your The Sims 4 Mods folder, that contains this resource and remove it. Try starting with the oldest modifications you have.If this is a new issue, try removing the most recent mod you have installed". 

I don't even know where to begin looking for a culprit because the message doesn't point to anything specific and it's driving me crazy not being able to fix the issue. So any help would be gladly appreciated.
