The game was fine after I started a new save file. I added back the backup saves and opened a save file. After several minutes it did load. I think the update messed up one save file. I have two main profiles that I play with and a few others. I will check them to see if it is just the one profile that won't load.
No, I rarely use mods. I haven't had any mods installed for months. I knew the patch was coming yesterday. I think the issue is affecting one household which sucks because it's the household I play with the most.
After evicting the household and moving it into an empty lot, the game finished loading. The original lot I had the household in was Hound's Head, the 64 x 64 lot in Brindleton Bay. I do have a bunch of items on the lot however, the game never had trouble loading before yesterday. After moving the household back into the original lot, the game loaded after a few minutes.
