Game will not load...are the server's down?

Help!

My Sims 4 app is not opening my saved game, the plum blob just spins. I have removed/uninstalled and restarted more than I care to mention as well as repaired the game through manage option, reinstalled the game and it still does not work. I opened a new game and it plays fine. It has been one week and the original game with all of my playable sims will not load. I honestly do not know what else to do, this is quite frustrating... Are the server's down?!!

    There could be a chance that one of your game's core files is corrupted or unreadable. That can be due to using certain mods, and may not be fixed through repairing.

    Do you happen to use CC/Mods, etc?

    @Plie7 

    Since a new game works fine it appears that the save is corrupted this can happen when using broken mods in the game.

    You can try to restore an older version of the save and see if that works but first update your mods or remove those that are broken.

    Yes, I did recently download a new mod and decided to cancel the mod(s).
