Game won't even launch

Hello!

Looking for some advice/help. I play TS4 on PC and have quite a hefty Mods folder (about 84GB), which has previously run on my system perfectly fine. I haven’t played in a few months, but now the game won’t launch unless the Mods folder is completely empty.

If I try launching through the EA App, it just closes and then reopens about 10 seconds later with nothing happening. If I try launching via Program Files > Bin > Run as Admin, nothing happens either. All mods and CC are up to date.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Repairing the game multiple times

Clearing the EA App cache

Removing the localthumbcache file

Taking out the Mods folder to let the game generate a new one, then putting everything back in

Culled a big chunk of mods and CC — now sitting at around 60GB

Used Sims 4 Mod Manager to remove duplicates, fix conflicts, etc.

I’ve been trying to fix it for about a week now and genuinely feel like I’ve tried everything the internet has suggested. Is there anything else I might have missed or could try? I really don’t want to start rebuilding my Mods/CC folder from scratch if I can help it.
