Game won't save in build mode

Sorry; first time on the forum. :-)

No, I don't use mods or custom content. 

I've rebooted the game, rebooted Origin, and rebooted my laptop. Nothing seems to help.

My issue with 888 Spire is that it won't save in Build/Buy Mode. I can't even purchase my Sim a new sofa!

I had renovated/redecorated the top floor (where the bedroom are), without a problem. I was even able to paint the main floor, (main living area) and put down a couple of plants. But now, whenever I try to adjust the cupboards or rearrange the furniture, whatever, It won't save. There's no error message; just endless hourglass spinning until I go to the Task Manager and stop the game.

It WILL save in Live Mode but, if I start in Live Mode, move into Build Mode, then try to save back in LIve mode, nothing...just spinning. 

I don't use Mods or CC. I've rebooted the game, Origin, and my laptop several times. All patches and updates are...well...up to date.

Please help!

hi! were you ever able to figure this out? i am having the same problem. when i go into build mode i can’t adjust anything. i can’t place wallpapers or adjust the size of rooms or anything like that. and when i go to save it just spins forever. my computer won’t even let me exit out of the game i have to shut the whole thing down. i’ve tried repairing and redownloading the game but nothing ☹️
