Help please?

I got a random update on my Sims 4 game and now when I go to CAS I can't pick any traits but 2?? This is for a young adult sim and it won't let me pick the traits at all, it has this weird overlay of the original trait slots (like before u pick them). 

I do have mods enabled (almost to a thousand plus and that's included cc like hair and makeup, ngl just realized that's prob way too many lol).

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mods that I thought would be the issue and updated them but it still has this overlay.
