High School Starts on Home Lot in Copperdale

Recently I've been having a really weird issue after having a sim that lives in Copperdale age up to a teen. I have follow to school messages enabled and got the pop-up on her first day of school. However, when I tried to follow her, she just stayed on her home lot and the school day started anyway. Shortly after, all the high school NPCs started spawning on her home lot and going into her house. I ended up just ending the school day early since I wasn't able to travel and just had my teen go somewhere else, but she came back the next day to all the NPCs still there. (It was now Saturday, so not even a school day anymore.) When I hover over the NPCs it will say "student" or "principal" so it's as if school is still in session no matter what. I did testingcheats destroy object and MCCC "make sim leave" on all of them but they just keep respawning. I've run my game without my mods folder and the issue still persists. I tried moving that household into another house in a different world and I no longer experienced the issue. I then moved them back into their old house and the NPCs remained. I haven't had this happen before playing this household in Copperdale and I've been able to follow teens from my other households in different worlds just fine. My only temporary fix right now is waiting until the school day ends at 3:00 for them all to leave. I've attached a screenshot to give a better idea of what it looks like. I'm unsure of what else to do, so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. (Just to note, the high school that I currently have is one that I got from the gallery, in case that's of any importance.) Thank you!
