Home Designer reveal bug

I recently got a new PC (higher specs than previous so that shouldn't be the issue).

I installed Sims 4 with my packs etc. No mods. Started the home designer career on a new save.

Everything goes smoothly until I go to do the reveal. When the Sims stand at the door and I choose the reveal to clients option the game glitches and the reveal doesn't happen. Then my sim is stuck on the lot with the "at work" icon over their avatar at the bottom. 

However the gig has finished, I get paid and the gig is no longer in the career section of the UI.

I end up having to go to manage worlds and open a different family, then go back to get my sim to leave the lot as since they state they're at work they can't just return home.

Since it's a brand new save etc. I'm not really sure what could be causing this and how to fix it.

I also don't know how to add the information around my PC etc that I've seen on other posts which I'm guessing is needed so if someone can tell me how to do that I will.
