How can I tell if my actual household is corrupted?

I use mods and I'm not getting any last exceptions or any errors so that's the problem. But I noticed weird things are happening. First my sims couldn't get pregnant unless I moved them out and back in then I noticed I can't interact with items under the pool that I was able to before with cheats. I had this issue with another household and after doing 50/50 for several days about a month ago it came up with nothing as the actual cause which led me to believe it was the actual sim or one of the sims in the household. I read that it can also spread to other households.  Like I said doing 50/50 didn't show me any mods were the problem so I'm wondering if either I'm experiencing just weird bugs or having another household that's corrupted. This would be the third family if that is the case. Can this occur from sims I downloaded? Can this happen with houses I downloaded? If that is the problem I wouldn't know what sims since I downloaded so many. My mods are up to date and always have been since I am very consistent with checking Scarlett's site and discord. Am I experiencing this issue because my save file may have too many houses in it or sims? I just am tired of having to make another family from scratch because even when I  do that and back up all my saves, these weird issues or bug happen all over again. How can I be sure my saves are corrupted or households? What's the way to test this because I'm at a loss. If I had an actual error number to report I would but that's the thing, I don't have any errors showing.

  • First, have you tested with no mods/CC at all? Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

Re. spreading, it's lot corruption, not household corruption, that spreads.

To test if it's the household (the Sims) specifically, save them in CAS to your library. Exit, drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, then start a new save and add the household from your library.
