how do I get back my presentation board? - Discover University

I am new to playing Discover University (I recently got a new computer that can actually handle playing the game) and I had a SIM who got pregnant while at University Housing. When it was time to have the baby, she was forced to move to off-campus housing (a normal house instead of the dorms). She had to pack up all her things and move before the baby was born during her 3rd trimester. Of those things that were packed up, was her Presentation Board. I had her Baby Daddy and Twin Brother move with her. The Twin Brother also had a presentation board that I put into his personal inventory. Both boards came with my Sims in the move. I had put it in the new house... Twin Brother was DONE with his board in the new place... My Sim girl was working on her board... They travelled to the Foxbury Commons (their house is in Britechester at the Mossy Lane house) and when they came back, the boards were gone.

I have tried emailing the professors, from a computer, about my grade and they mention the presentation but no new board is given to my sims. I even tried downloading that mod from Mod the Sims (and I do not have any CC or Mods) but it didn't do anything. I currently cannot email my professors because one class is being graded (it just needed homework and a term paper to be completed). 

I don't understand why the Presentation Boards cannot be purchased the same way Homework Books can be purchased. It seems like a really easy fix to just include new boards in the "Buy University Stuff" Kiosk... Like you can with the homework books (I can't tell you how many times my girl Sim has put down her homework somewhere in world and then loses it... She likes to just set it down anywhere rather than return it to her inventory... but it's no big deal because I can just go buy a new homework book!)
