Dropbox broke my mods folder
I recently had an issue with Dropbox, so I disabled it and took all my files off the cloud and put them back on my local drive. Since then, my game doesn't recognize my mods folder.
Mods are enabled in my game, script mods are also enabled. I have tried deleting the cache and resource.cfg files, I deleted my mods folder and had the game generate a new one, and I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice. Nothing has fixed it.
I made sure I was accessing the correct files by following the path shown in-game through the Load Save File function and it's the standard Windows path (Windows>C:>Users>My User Profile>Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 4) so I know for a fact that I'm in the right place but whenever I try to add mods or CC items the game doesn't recognize the files, they don't even show up in the pop-up list of mods when the game boots up.
I have Sims4FileManager installed and it can read all the files in my mods folder, any mods I have are the latest version (MCCC, WW, BetterExceptions) and I have removed all outdated and conflicting package files.
This wasn't an issue until Dropbox moved all my files to the cloud and I had to move them back. Everything worked until Dropbox messed with my files and I'm at a complete loss on how to fix it since even reinstalling the game has done nothing to help.
