I've been playing with all my mods installed since I play with mods (which must be about 7 years now). I never bothered to take them out when a patch comes out. Though I do of course update the mods as soon as possible, I never had an outdated mod break a save so far. That being said, I'm not playing with the grand mods that are known to cause issues after each patch (MCCC, SoL and the like).
