I don't think there is such thing as too much. It's all about how much your computer can handle.
Keep in mind when you add custom content to your game it's like adding a new EP or stuff pack.
You are upping the specs needed to run the game as there is more stuff for your computer to read/load.
So long as you're not lagging. You're good!
