So I recently started a new game along with a new family. I am planning on letting them live in Selvadorada but I cannot seem to change the lot type from rental to residential I even tried putting a residential lot in but it just kept the lot type to rental. Is there a workaround? or am I stuck with my family renting "out" the lot?

@Keifer32 Hello! What @crinrict said is true. I've read that the mods which allow players to live in the "vacation" worlds can cause some problems though. Since we can set rental lots in any world now, it would be great if those "vacation" worlds were opened up for sims to live in. I wrote a post about that over a year ago referring specifically to Granite Falls and I just mentioned Selvadorada because of your post. Perhaps you (and anyone else reading this) could click "me too" on the first post for more visibility. :-)

@Keifer32 I can't really recommend any since I haven't used them. There are a couple that I found from a search "sims 4 mod to live in vacation worlds". Neither of them have been updated recently; one updated in 2021 and the other updated last March. Although, the new CurseForge site has one that was uploaded in January.
Whatever the case, if you do decide to try one, your idea to make copies is absolutely the right thing to do. I would also suggest testing the mod either in a new save or one that you don't really care about first. This way, you don't have to worry about corrupting your favorite saves until you're sure it works without issues. Also, you probably want to test all features of the mod, like making sure you can load your household, travel freely, use build/buy, etc. Good luck and happy simming! :-)
I have the same issue in Henford-On-Bagley, I change the lot type to rental one time to try the new pack but now I can't change it to residential and it's making me crazy, I keep going back and forth changing the lot type to residential but the symbol still have the rental symbol... please help, I really don't know what to do...

I am having the cake problem but in Chestnut Ridge world. I have changed it to a residential house but it keeps sayings it's a rental. How do I fix this?? Please help.

i am having that issue right now too. there is a vacation rental in tortosa and i changed it to residential with the gallery but after my sims move in the lot changes back to vacation rental and then my household becomes unplayable because they are stick in a vacation rental.
