how to download NEW cc to hard drive
so i did the symbolic link and it kinda worked, it didn't transfer all my mods (idk if it bc i deleted some or bc they were lost) but i want to try to redownload them to my hard drive but i don't kno...

yes i moved my user folder, i tried dragging from the download thing and new cc/mods still wouldn't pop up
@bbjerka Are the files zipped? If the files are .zip when you download them, you'll have to extract the files and put the .package and/or .script files in the Mods folder.
they weren't zipped, im pretty sure i did everything i was suppose to do (if the steps r basically still the same as when they were in my docs) i even tried to copy paste them into my mod folder but it still wouldn't work :/

Please share screen grabs of your folders that include the file path; one grab of your Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder on your computer's hard drive; one of your TS4 folder on your external hard drive; and one of your Mods folder on your external hard drive. They should look something like the below.
