I can’t use most items

When I start up my TheSims4 game, whenever I click on beds, it provides all the options but sleeping whilst the sinks don't let my sim wash their hands, TVs don’t provide any watching options but I can upgrade them, same goes for radios and I can’t use showers. I’ve updated my cc with Sims 4 Studio, I’ve removed conflicts and I’ve repaired my game. I don’t know what to do to eliminate the issue at hand.

  • @Marceleryy It's most often going to be outdated build/buy CC but could also be a wrongly installed complex gameplay mod.

You can start with a huge batch of CAS CC. Then rule out categories like custom careers, ambitions, and traits.

I know that with that many files it's going to take a while, but this is also going to be a chance to find things like duplicate files or having both old and new versions of mods.... because those too can cause problems, including in gameplay. Even a massive Mods folder can cause problems, as can having over 250 script mods. They won't likely cause this problem, but eventually they will.

The advantage of the 50-50 method is that it can start with huge batches and then cut those in to smaller but still huge batches. It might take you less time than you expect. But that time was also inevitably going to be needed someday when you choose to have that much content in your Mods folder. This might also be an opportunity to get rid of stuff you never use.

  • @Marceleryy There's a good chance that you have issues with outdated mods that a batch fix couldn't help with. Test with no mods or CC: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

It seems to be an issue with the mods but I have like 35,000 files in my mods folders so it’s difficult to do a 50/50 without taking multiple days. Before I take any action, do you know any potential mods that could cause this?
