You didn't say, but I am assuming you have the Seasons expansion pack. I'm not sure how the Sixam plants work anymore without it and what I describe is how it works with that pack installed.  If you do have Seasons, getting the fruit from the 3 Sixam plants can take a while.  Those act a little differently than the plants in other worlds.  You need to go there during the right season.  The Quill Fruit is available in Summer, the Glow Orb is available in Winter and the Fang Flower (from Tentacle Tree) is available in Spring.  Not only do you need to go in the right season, you will need to be there at the right time of day which is before 5 AM when the plants start to bear. By 5:30 AM they will be ready to pick.  And you might have to go several days in a row and stay there for an extended time to give the plants a chance to grow.  The Quill Fruit and Glow Orb plants are not much of a problem but the Tentacle Trees drop back to a pile of dirt if not in season and those take a long time to grow and reach maturity before they will give any fruit so it will take you at least a week of going there every night and being there at 5-5:30 AM for them to do that.  Hopefully, you didn't uproot all the plants when you were trying to get the fruit by using the Uproot option.  If you did, they will grow back eventually but it will take time and you will need to be there while they regrow.

That said, the only one you really need is the Quill Fruit.  That one is required for the Age Away serum.  The Alien Aura serum just requires any alien plant so the Quill Fruit will work for that too.  You only need the other two if you want to have all the plants in the collection.

As @SheriGR and @xochiquetzl_xkvn said, you can take a cutting from the plants so you can graft them to a plant in your home garden if you have the right Gardening level.  But in my game, unless it's changed recently, taking a cutting will kill the plant the first time you do it.  They will grow back, but it takes time.

    Hope this helps.

My memory of the ins-and-outs of wild plant harvesting there are rusty, and the main wild plant harvesting I did was in Granite Falls. I think I had to make sure the plant was in season (if applicable) and at the correct point of maturity to allow for harvesting or to take a cutting. With wild plants this involves playing in that area for long enough for the plant to mature to the point that you can harvest &/or take a cutting of it. (Another thing to keep in mind is that you have to be careful when taking a cutting that you wait enough time between doing this a second time or it will kill the plant.)

There is additional information on Sixam at this link: https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/worlds/gettowork-sixam.php

This is a great guide to gardening, including wilt plants, cuttings and grafting, etc.: https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/skills/gardening/

  • @Lordewolf2  It looks like you're using "uproot plant," which kills it.

If the plant is in season, just harvest from it.  You can use the harvestables for your serums, and also plant them to keep a regular supply around.

If the plant isn't in season and you can't harvest from it, you need a high enough gardening skill to take a cutting and graft it onto another plant. That should give you a harvestable that you can plant or use for your serum.
