Your game has not been updated for two years. Please go online and update the game and the Origin client. If you prefer to play offline you can then go offline in Origin again..
For your issue instead of selecting continue select Load Game and you will be back in Manage worlds. You could also have chosen to go to manage world after choosing continue.
Nope, I would not update that game. it's my game and it runs well. And I certainly do not want any patches that randomly kills my beloved sims just for a laugh.
As for the offline mode: I can not see how I could open the game in that mode. I have to log in to Origin and the manual select offline mode.
So I had some contact with a member on an other forum and we kind of find out that the game mostly ignores the "other households" and "removes" my sims instead. Neighborhood stories does not have a part here as it did happen before the update. So how do I fix this? With NS turned off and sims not getting effected by temperatures is there anything else I can do to prevent sims (it does not matter if mine or from other households) to be "removed" without my control? And O still need input on how to make Origin set me offline after the login and launch the game automaticly.
After setting Origin to offline the game will launch in offline too. It will continue to do this until you put Origin in online mode again.
But next time I log in Origin will be in online mode. At least it's how it seems to work for me. (And I did read simillar questions online).
If it turns back on by itself then your Antivirus denies Origin from saving and you need to look into that.
