I wouldn’t bother getting this game

Cerity1​ Not at all! In fact, they have been actively instructing people (on Discord, for example) on how to manage their mods at game update time. Plus they provide info to modders in advance of patches, including this one, so that modders have a better idea of what kinds of changes to expect. They also provide modders with extra detail in the patch notes to help narrow down likely mod issues that will need updating. 

I believe, they are trying to detour people from using mods all together. I'm going through the same 😞 thing. 

Mods did not "corrupt" randomly. The game was updated, which changes game code and affects mods that use that code. This will be the case for every game. The difference will only be in how often a game updates, what kind of code got updated, and whether the mods you personally use are affected.
