What's the easiest way or place to create my own designs?
I like trying to add my own stuff to the game, like pictures of shows, movies, books, whatever I think I would like in real life. I know about using Curseforge and a few other places for custom content. I want to do my own, and I was wondering what other people have had success with here when they do this too. I also would like to give my Sims some of the recipes/foods that I've made in real life, but I have no idea how to really do that.
New update has broken my mods and expansion packs
The new april 16th update has broken my mods, expansion pack features, and wont let me create new sims or use the gallery. I opened my game after yesterday's updates to find that my script mods had been disabled in settings and even after I restart the game it still won't enable them and none of my mods are showing up in the in-game list. I still have all my mods in the EA folder on my computer and move any script mods I have but nothing will show up. I went into the game to try and check my sims to find that any tattoos (even the preset ones) have turned my sims completely black and when creating a new one with base game items they won't save to my gallery or my world itself. Building plots is fine, but everything else is wrong. I just recovered my game after the last update, can someone help me figure this out? I tried to repair my game in the ea app but its made no difference.
Young Ghosts Return Thread 2.0
I had to remake this thread since 1 edit to correct stuff since It was way outdated got it falsely removed by auto mod and wanted to get the main page up to date. So I have to remake it. I'm going to use the info from mod the sims to make it easier on myself. This mod brings back the old days where you can cheat Younger sims to be ghosts. With the Life and death update. The sims team restricted on which ages can be which type of Ghosts. Which made Toddler, Infants, adult pets and baby pets to no longer be ghosts. This mod allows the old days again so they can be ghosts again. There are side effects like stretching from young meteor ghosts doing the death animation. Toddlers walking slow but other then that it works well. Toddlers who have the laughter trait can make people playful like adult. This will also fix certain features like The premade Ghost Dog Captain Whittaker and fix the wishing well issues when you get a Ghost Child from there. I made this mod personally but I had people ask me from places to share it. Pets can only be Old age for reasons. I will say this. Bugs. I don't want to get this one removed and that might have been the reason. It brings the old days. They still can't die but you add the ghost traits with Cheats like the trait equip cheat. MCCC or UI cheats. The traits were enabled for them so all ghost types in the normal game are enabled for them but not death. You just have to add the traits to them with cheats like how it was before Life and death patch. If you use Young Ghosts Return and want to upload them to the Gallery or somewhere. Make sure to include this in the description. #YoungGhostsReturn That way. People will know the mod used in the upload with young ghosts and why it's marked as custom content. The August 19th update is really testing my patience. It broke a bunch of my mods that I had to delete, and now the game isn't even loading my household. It keeps giving me the "postures\posture_specs.py". I have no clue what that is. Someone please help😭I just want play my save.
Weird NPC Situation Goopy / Goopella GilScarbo invasion!
So I use mods, but I don't know which one would cause this. I've also never seen this issue with any other player, and while it doesn't disturb my gameplay at all it is so weird. Generated townies will often show up as normal with random, nonsensical names. However, the vast majority of them are Goopy (M) and Goopella Gilscarbo. I tried to look up the issue, and it turns out the name belongs to a Sims 2 character who, I guess, became something of a meme. But that doesn't explain why my game is defaulting to that name for most NPCs who aren't tied directly to a premade household. There's no way for me to turn off auto-generated sims to test whether this is related to an in-game issue or if it's pulling from the gallery, which I know the game can sort of do with the Mc Command Center. I plan at some point to do the 50/50 method, but I've been so busy with school I haven't had the energy to do that, and I figured I'd ask and see if anyone else knew about this happening to them. It just seems like nobody else has reported an issue like this.my sims couple won’t sleep in the same bed together.
I have been having this issue for awhile with my single sims, but I had just assumed it was a bug with the bed. Basically what happens is that when I have a sims couple, and I have them both go to bed, one will be able to sleep, and the other one will “get in bed,” not get under the sheets, and then immediately exit out the bed a few seconds later. I have tried batch fixing my cc, and I went and made sure I didn’t have the cuddle mod in my game. There isn’t any music playing, no objects in the way, and my sims couple has a maxed out friendship and romance bar. I have deleted my cc bed and tried a maxis bed and the same thing happens. Also, my cuddle interaction won’t work. I assume it’s because of the same reason my sims can’t sleep together. When I initiate the cuddle reaction, they act like they can’t access the bed. I’m not sure what else to do to fix this interaction. Pls help!
