In science lab in Sims 4 can't put momentum consever into inventory

I have been able to get my scientice to build the momentum conserver but now what. I can't seem to move it to inventory and can't seem to get a new scientice to brainstorm with invertor of conserver ...

No I'm using the left mouse button like I do with everything else in the game. I also tried both buttons before posting on here so that's not it.
