@CaseyLynch7 I figured out what was causing this issue for me!
It was a CC with some TS2 furniture called Andromeda Bedroom set
@Fenfs Thanks! That one was interesting. Some of the items (dressers, posters, maybe more) are broken on placement but you can't see them to remove them. And then you can't load back to map mode. I never did get as far as finding out if it breaks the lot, but I'd be astonished if it didn't.
