I have a MacBook M1 and repeatedly my sims 4 CC files get corrupted. I remove/replace whatever corrupted file that is preventing my game from opening, then I get another corrupted error from a different file. Eventually the game does open, but I want to know why files are even being corrupted in the first place and how I can stop it. Currently, I've spent 2 days replacing and removing corrupted files just to get my game open. I have tried repairing, new folders, uninstalling, etc. and none of it works efficiently.

I am a new Sims 4 player and i want to download mods. I looked up tutorials and all of them say to go to your documents and find the "Electronic Arts" folder, which i have, then you have to open a folder called "The Sims 4" which i do not have, i only have an "EA app" folder with a folder within it that i cannot open, since i do not have a "The sims 4 folder", i also do not have a "Mods" folder. i play on MacOS through the EA app, i have "Enable custom content and mods" and "Script mods allowed" enabled in-game, my game is up to date, and my mac is up to date. any help is greatly appreciated! @nwy49c1bd2na Sounds like you're not in the right folder location but in a program folder. Look for the folder actually called Documents.

The instructions you're reading are correct. The Sims 4 folder is in the Electronic Arts folder which is in your Documents folder.Product: The Sims 4

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? ..
What happens when the bug occurs? The menu to leave/exit the game won't appear, and the loading screen just loads and loads and loads without crashing so I have to shut the computer down.
What do you expect to see? CAS working, the menu fixed, and the mods disappearing/allowing me to download and install new ones.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I cannot add or remove mods from my game even though I've completely removed the mods folder and deleted all the caches. Back when Lovestruck came out, my game broke due to what I assumed were broken mods, so I updated them all when updates were released. It did nothing. I attempted to remove the mods I thought were causing issues, but when I loaded the game back, they would still be in the game. This resulted in me pulling my entire mods folder, though when I load the game, everything is still there. I tried adding a new mod to see what happened, but it didn't appear. The game is extremely broken, meaning I can't go into CAS, I can't travel, the menu won't pop up when I click ESC, it's bad. And the game doesn't crash; it just loads and loads and loads until I eventually have to shut my computer down. I have deleted caches, tried to repair the game, reset the computer, deleted mods; I've done everything I know to do, and it's still broken.
If Mods are still loading you haven't removed the Mods folder from the correct Sims 4 folder.
Please open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find / -type d -name "*Mods*" 2>/dev/null
After a while it will return the results of the search, be patient and let it do it's thing. You'll know when it's finished searching because the command prompt will reappear. Please copy and paste the results in a post here..
