Is Interior Design Broke?

is Interior Design broke? I enjoyed playing it when it first came out and I'm trying to do it for the Millionaire challenge. I go to the lot and start talking with the clients and the Ask Favorite Color and Ask Design Preference interactions don't always come up. No matter how many times I do the Friendly interaction with the client, the two most important questions never appear. I get things like they hate writing and love knitting;not helpful in designing a living room. I do the design the best I can and, surprise, they hate it and I get no money. I've also had an issue where my client's favorite color was red and her favorite design was Mission and her whole house was already decorated in red and Mission. That one didn't go well, either. The only way around it is to send the Sim on their own to the gig, but the whole point of the Interior Designer career is doing the makeover yourself. I don't remember this being an issue when the pack first came out.

The Favorite Color and Favorite Design interactions should be under the Interior Design tab and not the Friendly tab, but that's another issue.
