Is it possible for ALL of my mods & CC to be corrupted

Hi! Bit of background info - I’m using Mac and haven’t played since Aug 2025

Tonight I updated my game and updated all of the mods I currently use to the newest versions, my game wouldn’t open with the mods folder. I did absolutely everything 50/50, removed my entire sims 4 folder and created a new one and added my saves & tray files. Again won’t open with the mods folder, I empty my full mods folder and fresh download better exceptions and it’s now working with that 1 mod.

Is it possible my original mods folder was corrupted? And when updating my mods they’ve become corrupted by going into that folder?

I have 5 years worth of CC which I reeeeeaaallly don’t want to redownload unless I have no other choice

zoe3007​ If you had moved all those mod files onto an external drive that wasn't in the right format for the files, yes, that could easily corrupt all your files. There are likely other ways that could happen too. If every&nbsp;single mod copied back in blocks launch, but a fresh download doesn't, then yes, you likely have no option but to redownload. Think of it as an option to start fresh with just what you really&nbsp;use, well organized for the future.
