Broken and Updated Sims 4 Mods and CC: patch 1.122, March 17, 2026 and hotfixes
About This Thread This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game update 1.122, March 17, 2026, and the March 18 and March 23 hotfixes, or declared unsupported by their creators. Still having a bug since the March 20 update, anyone else?
About a day after market place was added, my game stopped working correctly. Now when I start running Sims 4 it loads up just fine but then I’m stuck at the Home Screen and none of the buttons work. Also the background where it would normally display the last played household is just completely black. Pressing the ‘resume game’ button does nothing. The latest hotfix still didn’t fix it. Also I know this is solely related the game and not my computer because everything else on my PC (It’s a windows) works fine. I’ve already tried restarting my PC but it still doesn’t do anything. I also cannot close the Sims 4 without fully shutting down my computer. Don’t know if this is important but I never got the ‘Game failed to launch’ error on the 20th of March. I accidentally update my game without knowing that the mod and cc are broken since the marketplace is out. It updated like usual, but it won't open after that. So I tried to repair it on the EA app before trying to open it again. Failed, but I kept trying to open it without thinking to remove the mod and cc in the game. After awhile, it did open and load like usual, until the menu appeared like that. I can't interact with anything, even the escape button. I need to forced the game closed to quit the game. I tried to start my game and it was stuck on a black screen. I tried to close the game and restart but it wouldn't close so I had to restart my entire PC to try to open the game after 3 tries I went to Steam to see if anyone else was dealing with this then I saw your newest update on Mon, March 23rd. I checked the comments and almost every single person is having the same problem. Some have no custom content and others do (like me), it is not because of custom content it is just the game seems to be broke for a large group. I have over 1,000 mods/custom content and my game ran just fine before the update. That is all. Hopefully this helps fix the problem.Sims Can't Interact w/ One Another
Hi! I updated the game, as of March 30, 2025. I re-downloaded all my mods and CC, but my sim can't interact with her toddler. My other sim can't interact with other people in their business. I made sure that the mods I have were up to date. I'm now playing without ang mods and CC and my sims can now interact with each other. How can I fix this with my mods?
CAS Columns Mod Doesn't Work With Patch Fix
Sul Sul, im still having some issues with my CC, but ive been slowly readding my CC back to my mods folder and ive been able to play. what i did find out was my More Columns In CAS was not letting me launch the game. i am still adding CC back slowly, but i think that was my main issue. i also was able to get my CAS background working...not sure if loading screens are good yet though.
my game still doesn't work after the patch
my game only really opens when i take out all my mods and cc, which is confusing because i thought the THREE updates this month were trying to fix that. i have followed all the tips, forums, and discords but nothing works. I don't want to play the game without my cc/mods but the game literally wont open with them, it freezes and says the game isn't responding. it was also saying i didn't have the EA app open before i just reinstalled the app because it was clearly glitching, i literally opened the game directly from the app. i was able to open the game and my most recent family no problem and then the patch dropped the next day and now i get an endless loading screen if i try to open them. hours of gameplay down the drain and i cant even recover them cause my game wont work with any of the content i made them with. i uninstalled and reinstalled the game, uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app, deleted cache, took out all cc and put it back in in groups with new folders, redownloaded all my mods with new folders, i repaired my game at least 6 times with AND without cc/mods. its so frustrating to have to basically play clueless tech support every time i wanna play and there is a new update that breaks the game. i dont know what to do, it seems like i wasted hundreds of my dollars on a game i cant even play because of an update completely out of my control.
